Siapa yang suka gratisaan? yeeeey toss deh ya kalo gitu. aku sukaa banget sama yang namanya gratisan (*jadi inget postingannya ka Tia kemaren, hehhehe) apalagi masih jadi mahasiwa yang belom punya penghasilan sendiri, suka mikir dua kali kalo mau beli sesuatu, habis ga enak kalo minta terus sama ortu. biasanya kalo aku suka gratisan goodie bag dari seminar-seminar, sampel produk, gratisan ngisi survey sampe freebies yang ada di website orang. Jadi inget dulu pas awal-awal ngeblog seneeeeng rasanya kalo nemuin web yang bagi2 template gratis. Terus langsung eksperimen deh utak atik diblog sendiri. Dibalik kekurangannya blogger, platform ini ternyata lumayan gampang untuk dimodifikasi templatenya.

Nah, karena aku anaknya suka penasaran kadang gatel banget ihh mau coba-coba bikin template buatan sendiri. Terus kalo ngambil yang gratisan ada aja misalkan bagian yang kurang sreg. Bisa dari warna, font, pattern, sampe letak layoutnya. (*udah gratisan banyak mau lagi :P) tapi dari ngutak atik itulah jadi sedikit ngerti html dan css. (Karena belajarnya dari hasil eksperimen2 aku nyebutnya “dumb coding” hehhe).

Yak meskipun masih cetek ilmunya tapi lumayan kalo bisa bagi-bagi gratisan juga sama orang. Template ini terinspirasi dari desain yang clean dan template-template yang biasa dipake di wordpress. Inspirasi ini aku dapet dari web nya designlovefest, kak Alodita sama Kak FifiAlvianto. Aku suka desainnya karena simple, awalnya aku niat pake template ini buat SLS tapi ngga jadi, makannya daripada mubazir udah capek2 begadang tapi ngga dipake mending dibagiin aja buat freebies baru. Kebetulan template ini customize friendly, gampang diatur lebar, warna, ukuran sampe jenis tulisannya. (Aku juga bikin manualnya di bawah supaya ngga bingung. Di dalemnya juga aku masukin gimana cara masang icon-icon social media kayak yang punya aku di samping). Oh iya, jangan lupa buat yang mau install di backup dulu yah template yang lamanya, takut ada kenapa-kenapa.

P.S: buat yang masih galau mau ganti template atau ngga, mending download aja dulu, hhehe. disimpen karena waktu gratisannya terbatas. Aku masih ga tau sampe kapan ini gratisnya. Bukannya niat pelit, tapi supaya template ini jadi ga pasaran, buat yang kurang sreg mungkin bisa nunggu gratisan template SLS selanjutnya. Follow blog ini biar kamu bisa update gratisan yang lain, hehheh :P Karena aku suka desain yang simpel jadi semua template yang aku buat akan lebih banyak yang sederhana aja.

template ini dibuat friendly customize, jadi kamu bisa merubah ukuran, font dan warna tulisan di menu template lalu pilih customize. lalu sesuaikan ukuran lebar kolom dengan format postingan2 yang sudah kamu buat sebelumnya agar terlihat rapi

Apakah ada batas waktu masa gratisnya? mengapa?

iya, template ini gratis untuk jangka waktu tertentu. karena kemungkinan ada update desain yang baru dari SLS supaya template ini tidak pasaran. mohon pengertiannya ya :)

Apakah saya boleh menyebarkan template ini?

The Manual

Installing and Customizing – Dear Saturday Template 

In order for you to start blogging and sharing your life with your readers, you’ll find the first steps to working with your template in the following paragraphs.

Installation

To install your template, log on to blogger.com and go to “Template” in the left column of your blog’s menu. There is a grey box in the upper right corner with “Backup/Restore” on it. Click it and Select “Browse File” there. Look for the xml File in the folder you just downloaded. Hit Save and the template is up on your blog.

Customize

Now it's time to customize your template. The Sidebar will need a few customizations. Add the gadgets you like and toss out the ones you do not need.It might be better to delete a few more than you’re comfortable with, readers tend to like clean blogs more that overcrowded ones. I recommend using as few headings as possible, paste in instead of your heading to let the gadget go without a heading.

The pages are easily made.

Just create your sites, using the regular blogger “Pages” tab (right below “Posts”) and safe them. To bring them on your blog you need to add or edit the “Pages” Box in the Layout section. This one is a very wide one. You might need to drag and drop it around until you can see the blue “costumize” link in the lower left corner of the box. 

Click on it and edit your Pages. Instead of the title, put in for the blog not to display the actual word “Pages”. Then drag around all the Pages you want to have displayed or add external links to other pages.

Now let's work on those social media icons. You'll find the 8 most commonly used icons in your folder. Chose the ones you need and upload them to a service like photobucket.

Then, on your blog, add a new HTML/Java Script in the Layout section and paste the following code

into it:

For every "Your link" to copy and paste the link to your social media profile (please note that there must be a http://  before your link in every case). Your image source link is the direct link from photobucket (etc). The name can simply be "Facebook" or "Join me on Facebook".

Now let’s work on your header.

If you already have a header (a picture etc.) uploaded, you might leave it the way it is or upload it again so it fits the size of the new design. If you do not already have a header you may use the font that is preinstalled. To achieve the grey and curly red font, you need to split your blog’s title into actual title and description
